Expressing the sprit of Japanese hospitality, aesthetic and customs, events uniquely representing Kyoto were held in temples and shrines, combining cherished and ancient culture with the ways of today in a bold and spectacular manner. It is our challenge to develop and pass down Japanese culture through a new attempt only Kyoto with a history of well over a thousand years enables. This event began in 1994, the 1,200th anniversary of the Heian Kento. We had 20 times Nippon to Asobo, it came to an end in 2013.

Feeling the air of Kyoto, the city of 1200 years

Kyoto, the city of 1200 years, Ancient Japanese tradition recreated in a city over countless years cultivated its own unique air and charm. Basara in its truest sense; the environment of pleasure through unique aesthetics and uninhibited expression, an exhibition of luxurious pleasure created with modern emotion was held.

Honen-in Temple

The Beauty of Nature A feast of nature, history and culture

Beautiful mountains, forests, rivers, and ponds that remain from ancient times to the present, Kyoto is a city where nature, history, and culture coexist by maintaining a rare balance. Enjoying the passing time at Honen-in Temple, amidst the nature that was surely so loved by people from long ago.

Kodaiji Temple

A dream within a dream The Wabisabi of Kyoto

Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who conquered the maelstrom of war and enjoyed great flamboyance, is said to have grieved over the transitions of fortune he saw in the world. The historic Kodaiji Temple, is the famous resting place of Hideyoshi and his first lady Nene. A feast on a beautiful fleeting night in autumn, all performances are dressed in clothing from the Momoyama Era, creating a world of the traditional and the modern, a mixture of that Western and Japanese.

Eikan-do Zenrin-ji Temple

Enjoying the changing seasons of Kyoto, shimmering in gold

Kyoto provides a distinct beauty for each of the four seasons. This is never more true than in the fall, when the mountains, the entire city is painted glimmering gold. So that we might savor the soothing taste of autumn, Eikan-do, famous for its offerings as a superb flower viewing location, was for a night in late autumn enveloped in a world of subtle and profound.

Daikakuji Temple

End of century pilgrimage from universality

The question of where our endless doubts and anguish lead to... A pilgrimage of the soul based on the theme of universality some of the world's finest artist's performances are held under the melancholic air of Daikakuji Temple.
